Nietoperek garden railway

The garden railway in Nietoperek, approx. 35 minutes by car from the agritourism WENA, is a unique structure – a perfectly reconstructed miniature railway, located in the garden of Mr. Jerzy Jóźwiak.

The former train duty officer, whose work was also his greatest passion, created the rails, switches, sidings, railway stations, and above all a miniature train, which you can go for a ride along a 400 m long route. The route runs through a beautiful garden in which are created in every detail by the owner: mini farmhouse, mill, castle, telegraph poles and a bridge over the lake. “Travelers” sit on the queue like on small chairs, and one transport can accommodate a maximum of a dozen passengers.

A ride in the garden railway in Nietoperek is fun not only for children, but also for adults! The miniature infrastructure, developed with great attention to the smallest details, makes a great impression, and the owner constantly improves it and expands it with new elements. The cost of the ride is symbolic PLN 5.

It is worth visiting the garden railway in conjunction with the Międzyrzecz Fortified Region, the end of which is located in the Nietoperek village. From the sanctuary of Mr. Józef Jóźwiak and his garden railroad, you can see the remains of the bunkers belonging to MRU in the distance. There are also other tourist attractions in the village – please refer to the "Nietoperek village" tab and during your stay in WENA, we encourage you to spend one day visiting this extremely interesting village along with the Międzyrzecki Fortified Region.
